Carolyn & Henry…30th Anniversary Renewal

Growing up you always envision yourself being married (at least I did). And I wanted the type of marriage that Carolyn & Henry had…This wonderful couple has been in my life for the last 23 years. This is the couple that took me on vacations, allowed me to have sleep overs at their house and even allowed me to live with them when I was in college. They spoiled me, nurtured me, and allowed me to be a part of their family.

So when they said they were renewing their vows, I was so excited. Excited just to be a part. I prepared invitations, created programs, did makeup and of course took pictures. Any thing to help make this day a success and it was.

So I want to give a big thank you to Aunt Carolyn & Uncle Henry. Thank you for your LOVE. Thank you for your SHELTER and MOST OF ALL…Thank you for showing me what ENDURING LOVE looks like. I LOVE YOU ENDLESSLY…

Here’s to another 30 YEARS!!

Rings that have stood the test of time!!

The Carroll Family - 08.17.2008

Children are so active….I have the utmost respect for photographer who solely photograph children. Their patience is remarkable. I also think it might have something to do with the parents not being in the room. I had the pleasure of shooting the Carroll family this afternoon and it was definitely an adventure…to say the least…but adventures are what makes photography worth pursuing….I live for adventures.

The innocence of a child!

The Ray Family - 08.16.2008

Never after leaving a client’s house, have I been madly in love. Well they say there’s always a first for everything! I have never been greeted with such warmness in my life and it’s all because of Piper. Her golden coat, her big brown eyes, her slightly wet nose (I am talking about a dog, duh…). She was truly the star of the photo session.

So I give a big thank you to the Ray family! For being exceptional easy to work with and for giving me a new love in my life!!!

Piper, the true star of the photo session

Engagement Session 08.10.2008

Congrats to the happy couple.

Congratulations Leroy & Genice

It was the night before and I was worried. It was raining really hard, the kind of rain that makes you want to crawl under the covers until the thunder stopped rolling. The longer it rained the more I worried. Worried about the dawn of the new day. Would it rain tomorrow, would the ground be soggy and wet, would the wedding be ruined.

I really should have known better because I am not the one in control therefore I should not be the one worrying. God is in control and my worrying was in vain. When I awoke the next day, I was greeted by the bright morning sun. It was a perfect day, not too hot, not too sunny. A perfect day, as God created it especially for Genice and Leroy.

A kiss to start their new lives tonight…the anticipation in his face is amazing!

Such a beautiful bride, with such great ideas, for that I do thank you!

A wedding present from the mother of the bride.

Molly Green Eyes: Ms. Jasmine

Introducing Ms. Arielle Nicole

This little girl has the most amazing eyes.  She has decided to study dance, so of course I had to capture her in her dance attire.

Being a photographer, you get to capture amazing pictures of special people. But it’s even more special when that person means the world to you. I present to you my BEST Friend!

The Slow Down - Somewhat?

Finally it has happened! I have finally completed the blog and the online proofing site and the slow down is about to begin…somewhat. It has been so hectic that I haven’t had the chance to post on the blog. Being a web developer and graphic design artist (as well as a photographer) makes it harder when trying to develop your personal sites. Yes I could outsource, which would have made my life easier. But I don’t see the necessity of spending thousands of dollars for someone to do something that others pay me to do. The problem with doing it yourself is that you are never satisfied (at least I am not). Well I have finally gotten to the point where I am satisfied (with the blog and online proofing site), which is a really big thing for me. I am not saying that I will not make changes (upgrades). What I am saying is that I am satisfied with the basic design.

Now that I have a basis to start with, I am going to do some back blogging. I have shot several events since starting the blog that I am going to post. I also mailed my first out of town design today. My work has mostly been local but since opening the Design Store, I am able to reach across the nation.   Look out world here I come ;-) !  The invitation was for twins celebrating their 5th birthday.  The mother was so excited, it really makes me feel good to make others feel good.

Okay that’s it for me this morning.  Have a great day.
