Erica’s Baby Shower

Very soon a new member of our family will come into existence.  Baby Girl Riyan Madison.

On Saturday, February 27th, family and friends gathered to blessed Riyan with gifts to enhance her stay in this world.

I was lucky to co-host this event for my niece.  Playing double duty, I didn’t get a chance to take as many pictures as I would have liked (plus, Mr. Kaleb was in attendance and he demanded my attention part of the afternoon – and I was happy to oblige ).  Riyan is already blessed with a beautiful mother, father and big sister and well as grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all ready to welcome her into this world.  Can’t wait until next week when she finally arrives.

Her Girls

It’s very rare that I post and picture of myself on my blog (usually because I am behind the camera).  Well this is one of those rare occasions.  This pictures of my mom, my sister and I was taken at my niece’s baby shower this past Saturday (I will be posted some pictures from the shower at a later date).  I absolutely love this picture.  It’s captures that love that we share for each other.

Making his DEBUT!

A wee bit of heaven
drifted from above.
A handful of happiness,
a heart full of Love.

On November 6, 2009, a wee bit of heaven came into my life and now he is making his debut on my blog. Introducing my son…Kaleb Alexander Watts.  Kaleb is such a happy baby.  He loves to talk!  Yes, talk.  He can hold a good 5 minute conversation at 3:30 in the morning.  And when he looks at me and smile, my heart just melts.  The day they handed him to me in the hospital is the day I fell in love with him.

Click on the thumbnail below to view pictures of the first four months of Kaleb’s life.

Awww, Kaleb is soo sweet!! I love these pictures. I can’t wait to see him again.

Blessed with another year!

They say you get wiser with age. That is definitely true when it comes to my mom.  She was blessed to celebrate her 63rd birthday this year.  Of course my sister and I planned a small celebration with her closest family and friends (which is a lot of people because my family is huge).  Click on the thumbnails below to view some of the images from the celebration.

Thirst Relief Mentor Action 2010

So why a post about Thirst Relief: well…..
It’s something that so many of us take for granted but something that so many do not have…clean water. Well you might not take it for granted but I know I DO. When I take my shower, wash my hair, cook my food or even leave the water running while brushing my teeth, I never think about persons who do not have clean water or no water at all.

So what is Thirst Relief:
Thirst Relief International exists to provide humanitarian and disaster relief to those in need worldwide through the provision of safe, clean drinking water. For more information visit their site here.

So here is how you can help:
This is where the Mentor Action comes in. It’s actually a win::win situation for everyone. If your a photographer or wish to become a photographer, why not take lessons from the best. Some of the best and brightest in the wedding and portrait world have donated 90 minutes of their time to support thirst relief.

100% of the proceeds directly benefit Thirst Relief International.

For more information click here.

Let’s all do our part to help those in need.
